Kelli Rene' Henderson's Obituary
HENDERSON, KELLI RENE’ was born December 15, 1978 in Dallas, Texas and passed away July 17, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by many loved ones. She is survived by her mom and dad, Anne and Robert Henderson; her sister and sister’s spouse, Kimberly and Jimmy Huckeba; nephew, Jason Huckeba; adopted grandmother;and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Kelli began working with her teacher as an infant, then attended public school once she turned 2yrs. She learned to read and write in elementary and graduated high school at 21 yrs. She later attended both EI Centro and Richland colleges. She competed in Special Olympics several times. Once, she went to Austin for the state gymnastics Special Olympics. Kelli enjoyed carnivals, dancing, going to the movies and most of all, going out to eat. She loved animals and babies. She had an excellent memory and a very big heart. Her wit was often surprising and made us laugh. She was animated and expressive. She was also very strong willed. This is how she was able to fight and overcome many life threatening illnesses. Through decades of fighting chronic disease and illness, she grew too tired to fight any longer. So she went back home to be with the Lord. We would like to thank all the doctors and staff at Medical City Hospital for making this very difficult time in her life and ours an easier one. Also, a special thank you to the staff at Amelia Court Clinic. We thank everyone for the many thoughts and prayers. In lieu of flowers, do something special for someone in need. Pay it forward. Family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 pm on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, July 21, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
