Kelvin Manfred Ekberg's Obituary
Kelvin Manfred Ekberg was born August 12, 1954 in Glendale, CA and passed away September 14, 2016 in Plano, Texas. Kelvin retired from Southwest airlines in 2015. He was a very loved and respected co-worker in several different departments and roles, and many of them remained a personal friend. After a long battle with back pain Kelvin’s only option was to have a long extensive surgery to be able to live an active and pain free life. God had other plans for him. He is now in heaven sharing all the things he learned here on earth. Kelvin was the most curious and inquisitive man anyone encountered and spent every minute learning or filling himself with new things. He was an outdoorsman and loved kayaking or anything that would take him into nature. It was there he found the most peace and strength. He was a family man in the truest sense and put his wife Marie and sons Jason and Tim first at all times. Kelvin is leaving a huge void with his family, co-workers and friends. A celebration of life will be held at 2:30 PM, Monday Sept. 19, 2016 at Restland Memorial Chapel. A heartfelt thank you to all Doctors and nurses that treated him. I know they did everything they could for a better outcome. You will be welcomed to share to share a story or an encounter you had with him as this celebration should be filled with joy and laughter and above all gratefulness for the time we had with him. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite Animal Rescue Center or SPCA of Dallas.
