Kemp Parr Johnson's Obituary
1912-2008 Kemp Johnson was born July 14, 1912 in Louisville, Kentucky and passed away in Dallas on August 2, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn. He is also survived by his only nephew, Mark Bourland, nieces, Kelly Fincher, Allison Bourland, Beth Barton, Amy Harper; and several cousins in Louisville. Kemp attended Terrell School, forerunner of St. Mark’s, UT, and SMU. At UT he joined Kappa Sigma fraternity. He married Kathryn Bourland in October of 1935. He served 3 years in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was associated in business with his father in the Security Brown Stamp Company. Kemp enjoyed a long life with many interests including hunting, fishing and traveling. He was a long time member of Northwood Club, Ferndale Club, and Highland Park United Methodist Church. Service will be 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Restland Wildwood Chapel.
