Kendell Paul Johnston's Obituary
Kendell Paul Johnston, 49, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2022, in Plano, TX with Britt Reat by his side. He was born on April 11, 1973, in Sacramento CA to Della Cook. Kendell was very active in the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, following a recreational sports complex development within his community. He graduated from Grant High School in 1991 & joined the Marine Corp, where he served until honorably discharged in 1999 with rank of Sergeant. Kendell’s greatest pride in life was having served his county as a Marine. Kendell held multiple professional positions in corporate administration & placed great value in the personal relationships formed in these roles.
Kendell was a loving man with a generous heart & a spirit for giving to others. His greatest passion was cooking, baking & cake design-decorating. Particular importance was placed on the cake or anything else he made, looking as pretty as it was delicious.
Kendell is survived by 3 sisters (Brenda Robin, Wendy Gonsalves & Dorothy Hilburt), along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends located throughout the country. He is preceded in death by his mother, Della Cook & brother, Bobby Colvin.
A special thank you to Susan Sanford & for the love & support of many friends & family. Donations in Kendell’s memory may be made to the American Diabetic Association.
Interment will be held at later date at DFW National Cemetery.
