Kenneth Edward Bailey, passed away July 4, 2025, at the age of 84 surrounded by his family in his home in Tampa, Florida. Ken was an energetic activist and leader throughout his life. He graduated from Hillcrest High School in Dal Read Obituary
Fondest memory: childhood. anything was possible. He was the essence of childhood and ability to do what seemed impossible. He taught and protected the whole neighborhood and was a regular at the YMCA and Glen Lakes Country Club. I was sorry he left Dallas, but didn’t he have a full life! Always my inspiration.
Ken never told us when he was coming home on leave from the Marines. He’d call from the airport and we would drop everything and run to Love Field to greet him in that handsome uniform. I was about 9-11 years old and I would run as fast as I could down the concourse to jump in his arms. He never stumbled. What a thrill!
