Kenneth Carl Combs' Obituary
Born December 24, 1935 in Dallas, TX to Millard and Myrtle Combs. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Emma Rowell Combs, daughter Carla Ann and husband Deloy Nelson, son Ronald Kenneth and wife Laurie Combs, son Steve Combs, grandchildren Andrew Kenneth and Brooke Alyse Combs, and Melissa Ann Nelson. Survived by Sisters – Marie McRoy, Doris Inabinette, Norma Willeford and husband Robert. Brother- James Combs and brother-in-law Richard Jones, sister-in-law Peggy Rowell Arnwine and husband Jerry, brother-in-law Larry Rowell and wife Pat, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Combs is preceded in death by sisters; Laurene Rogers and Pat Jones. He served honorably with the United States Marine Corp from January 1954 to March 1962 as Corporal, Squad Leader, Sharpshooter and Captain of the company baseball team. Mr. Combs boxed in the Golden Gloves. He loved fishing, singing, playing the guitar and writing poems for the family. He was a loyal fan of the Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys. The family will receive guest on Tuesday, May 12th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restland. Service is schedule on Wednesday, May 13th at 12:30 in the Restland Memorial Chapel.
