Kenneth Leo Marion, Age 75, Date of Passing March 07, 2023
Kenny was born on April 11, 1947, in Providence, RI, to Alfred and Florida Marion, he was one of six children. After attending Hope High School, Kenny joined the United States Marine Corps where he served Honorably from 1965-1969 as Communication Wireman. He had a total of 2 ½ years of combat deployment time to the Vietnam war while being assigned to the 7th Communications Battalion. After his service with the Marine Corps, Kenny worked in the construction field for many years in the New England area. In 1986-2008, he joined Scott Brass Manufacturing as a Quality control inspector until his retirement in 2008.
In June 2022, Kenny moved to the Whiterock Lake Area in Dallas, TX to live near his son and namesake, Kenneth Marion.
He enjoyed dancing, bowling, amusement parks and especially riding roller coasters at Lake George, New York. He was a passionate Jets fan. He is survived by his sister, Rachel Dugan, children, Kenneth Marion, Kara Garceau, Steven and Mallory Lombardi, and his eight Grandchildren, Brandon and Kyle Marion, Brayden Garceau, Anthony, Luke, Rocco, Jesse and Geno Lombardi. Visiting hours will be at Restland Funeral Home 13005 Greenville Ave Dallas, TX 75243 on March 20, 2023, from 1-2PM. Burial with military honors will be held on March 21, 2023, at 11:30 AM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy Dallas, TX 75211.
