Kenneth Edward Mooter's Obituary
Ken was born October 7, 1936 in Ponca City Oklahoma to Edwhite Conrad and Frances Ann Skalenda Mooter, both deceased.
He graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High in 1955 and received a BBA from Texas Tech University in 1959 with a degree in accounting.
He was a member of the Alpha Tau Omega social fraternity.
Ken married Linda Lee Bogan on December 27, 1958 in Borger, Texas .
Became a Certified Public Accountant in 1967 and held that certificate for 36 years. He retired from Lincoln Property Company in 2003 after thirty-five years. At retirement, he was an Executive Vice President of Finance, Accounting and Administration of the Commercial Region. Over the years, he was active in many organizations as an officer or board member. Among those: White Rock United Methodist Church and Seminar Sunday School Class, White Rock United Methodist Church Foundation, Inc,. Wesley-Rankin Community Center, Lake Highlands Area Improvement Association, Town Creek Homeowners Association, and SkiView Condominium Association, He served the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church as a Board Member of the Council on Finance and Administration as a member of the Ministry Center Building Committee.
Ken is survived by his wife Linda. Ken’s family includes daughter Kristi Cross and husband Mike of Allen, Texas, daughter Lisa Segerson and husband Phil of Woodway, Texas and son Michael Mooter and wife Sally of Murphy, Texas. His grandchildren are Daniel Cross, Kaitlyn Cross (wife Bridgette), Allisen Segerson, Cassie Segerson, Claire Segerson, Conner Mooter and Mitchell Mooter. Ken also leaves behind his sister Patty Bryant of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and her children.
Ken loved the fresh air in Red River NM, the fellowship in WRUMC, and the achievements of his wife, children and grandchildren. He valued long-standing friendships, the hunt for solutions to problems, making a difference in his community, and most of all, his love affair with Linda. He had an affection for yellow tablets, blue felt-tip pens, chocolate, hot showers, and ice cream. He was kind, intelligent, artistic , courageous, charitable, and humorous. His family will miss his bright blue eyes, his thoughtful guidance, and the way he made each one of them always feel special.
