Kenneth "Ken" Preston Pike's Obituary
On Sunday evening, March 12, 2023, Kenneth (Ken) Preston Pike, 83, of Garland, Texas completed his ascension up the Stairway to Heaven.
Ken was born in Dallas, Texas on July 28, 1939.
Ken was a 1956 graduate of Garland High School. Ken joined the United States Army in 1956. Following Boot Camp at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Ken was stationed in Germany.
Ken was an avid sports fan and photographer. Ken loved all Dallas sports teams but especially his Dallas Cowboys. Ken loved vacationing in Estes Park, Colorado and the Rocky Mountain National Park with his wife, Carla.
Ken retired from Overseas Motors in 2004.
Ken is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Carla. Ken is also survived by sons Steven and wife Debbie and Sean and wife Valarie; grandsons Ryan and wife Michelle and Preston; granddaughters Ashley and fiancé Eric and Annie; great grandson Logan; great granddaughter Scarlett; sister Carolyn Carner and brother David Pike. Ken is also survived by a large loving family of in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Thelma Pike and sister Sandra Pike.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, March16, 2023, at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March17, 2023, at Restland Memorial Chapel with interment following at Restland Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ken’s name to the American Heart Association or your favorite charity.
