Kenneth Gene Plunk's Obituary
Kenneth Gene Plunk passed away April 29, 2021 at his home in Dallas, Texas. He was born in Bowie, Texas on February 1, 1950 to James and Colleen Plunk.
Preceded in death by his father, James M. Plunk, Jr and brother Larry Plunk, Ken is survived by his wife Jean, mother Colleen, brother Michael and wife Carol, sister-in-law Judy Plunk and brother-in-law, Bill Trussell, nieces and nephews Jeffrey Plunk, Sarah Plunk, Lisa Murray, and Stephanie Walker.
Kenny was a proud 1968 graduate of Bryan Adams High School then earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree from Southern Methodist University in 1972 followed by post graduate studies from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
Ken met his future bride, Jean Trussell while attending SMU and they married December 28, 1973. Together for 47 years, Ken and Jean shared a passion for art and animals fostering many dogs during their marriage.
Ken was a graphic art designer eventually starting his own company, Plunk Designs.
To honor Ken’s love for animals, especially his dogs, the family requests in lieu of flowers a contribution to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in Ken’s name.
