Kenneth Delbert Tackett's Obituary
Kenneth Delbert Tackett Sr. 71, from Balch Springs, TX passed away on October 23, 2014 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Kenneth was born Sept 21, 1943 in Long Island, California and was the son of George & Mary Tackett. He served in the Army during Vietnam from February 1967 to October 1969. Kenneth retired from heavy road construction throughout Texas. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, and also was a member of the BPOE of Texas Lodge 2404 Mesquite. Kenneth was also a member of the Mason Lodge. Kenneth will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandpa, uncle, brother, and substitute father and friend. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Tackett; sons, Kenneth Tackett Jr and Keith Dewayne, of Balch Springs; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Tackett and son-in-law, Tom Anderson of Abilene, Texas; four granddaughters; four grandsons; five great-grand children; sisters, Shirley Wortham and Brenda Hughes; brother, Howard Tackett and many nieces and nephews. The visitation for Kenneth will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. The funeral service for Kenneth will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 in The Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75238.
