Kenneth Eugene Tettleton's Obituary
Our father, Our Hero, Our Marine Kenneth Eugene Tettleton of Mesquite, Texas, born May 27, 1933, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on October 4, 2014, with his family by his side. He fought for one and a half years with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He and his wife Barbara recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Kenneth worked for Forney Engineering Company and retired after 30 years. He was a member and deacon of Lake Pointe Town East Church. What he enjoyed the most was serving God, his church and visiting with his friends. What he was the most proud of was his family, and watching his children grow and raise children of their own. Kenneth was a brave and courageous man; a Marine who fought in the Korean War and was proud to serve his country. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Tettleton; son, Ken Tettleton and wife, Debbie; daughters, Teri Richard and husband, Mike, Lisa Greer and husband, Terry, Kelli Pintor and husband, Buzz; eight grandchildren, Chris, Bryan, Justin, Hollie, Matt, Blake, Heather and Brittany; and seven great grandchildren, with one on the way. The visitation for Kenneth will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
