Kevin Michael Costello's Obituary
Jesus ushered into Heaven His good and faithful servant, Kevin Michael Costello, on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. He lived a full and godly life devoted to faith and family. Born to Nicholas and Lilian Costello on July 11, 1935, in Brooklyn, New York, he was one of six children and is survived by his brother, Gerald Costello. He attended Power Memorial Academy and Iona College both in NYC. He began a long career in the world of photography with Eastman Kodak and made many life-long friendships. He was passionate about his family, the Catholic Church, horses, jogging at the Cooper Clinic, all things Irish, and his beloved New York Yankees. He retired early and devoted his time to attending daily Mass at St. Mark’s Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara, and seven children, who in turn, blessed them with thirteen wonderful grandchildren, all of whom Kevin truly cherished. His children feel very blessed to have been raised by a father who had unwavering faith, integrity and incredible character. His children include: son, Kevin Costello and wife Karla; daughter Vicki Hill; daughter Kathy Stewart and husband Reagan; daughter Maureen Reynolds and husband Steve; daughter Veronica Coronado and husband Charles; son Michael Costello and wife Alison; and daughter Susan Costello. A Rosary and Visitation will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at Restland Funeral Home Memorial Chapel in Dallas. The Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Plano. The family would like to express its deep appreciation to Dr. Mark Quinn and the hospital staff for the care and compassion shown to Kevin and the Costello family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul/St. Mark’s Catholic Church – 1201 Alma Drive, Plano, TX 75075.
