Kevin Lynn Fitzgerald's Obituary
Kevin Lynn Fitzgerald of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully on February 24, 2021 after a long battle with brain cancer. His family was by his side when he left this life to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was born to David and Gail Fitzgerald on January 21, 1980 in San Angelo, TX. He and his identical twin brother Kerry were the youngest of 4 siblings. Alison and Sean would agree that the day Kevin and Kerry came home all hopes of a normal family were no more. The twins were affectionately known as the Dah Dos to all those that attended church at Southgate Church of Christ. There they were known to wander the crowd looking for their dad and if anyone but David answered they would be swiftly kicked in the shins. As they got older, the twins ran the neighborhood riding their bikes to the gas station for drinks, crawdad fishing at Santa Rita Elementary, playing front yard football and basketball with all the neighborhood kids along with some other unmentionable shenanigans.
In Junior High and High school Kevin participated in all sports, soccer being his favorite. He also spent many hours working with special needs adults and children. Kevin was most comfortable and found the most joy with his youth group where he met many of his closest, lifelong friends. The highlight of every summer was when Kevin attended Camp Blue Haven where he deepened his love for the Lord. When he was 14 he committed his life to Christ and has never faltered in running the race. Kevin graduated from Central High School in 1998.
After graduating, Kevin attended Angelo State University where he graduated with a degree in finance in 2002. After graduating Kevin used his finance degree to secure a job in youth ministry at the Church of Christ in Prescott, AR. After several years in youth ministry, Kevin moved to Dallas where he started his career in recruiting for finance and accounting. Kevin had a successful career as Director of Recruiting at RGP. While in Dallas, Kevin married his wife, Holly Jean Oliver in 2009 and had three children: Lainey Lynn, Corban Oliver and Lincoln David.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Holly Jean Fitzgerald. He is also survived by his daughter Lainey, son Corban, son Lincoln; mother Gail and husband Ken Keen; sister Alison and husband Mark Sosa; brother Sean and wife Melissa Fitzgerald; brother Kerry and wife Jennifer Fitzgerald; brother-in-law Michael Keith and wife Stacie Oliver; Mother-in-law Judy Oliver. He is preceded in death by his father John David Fitzgerald and father-in-law Gene Oliver. Kevin also leaves behind many great friends and other family members that he cherished throughout his life.
