Kiley Breen's Obituary
Kiley Joelle Breen was born December 4, 1989 in Dallas, TX and passed away July 29, 2015. Kiley was preceded in death by her Dad, Terrance Patrick Breen, her Granny, Mary Bernadette O’Connor Bonatti, her Grandma, Dorothy Robinson Breen, her Grandfather, Thomas William Breen, and her Aunt Lib. Kiley is survived by her Son, Kristian Terrance Breen, her Mom, Bernadette Elizabeth Breen, her Sister, Kenzie Terryn Breen, and Grandpa Joseph Mario Bonatti. Kiley graduated from Berkner High School and received her degree in Social Work from Tyler Junior College. Kiley was passionate about many things in life. She loved God and was on a quest for peace. Her favorite scripture was Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” First in her heart was Kristian. One glance at the walls in her home, and you would see Kristian and his Mommy. In a field of flowers, dressed in stylish outfits, smiling and full of joy. He brought more joy to her than anyone else. She loved taking him to the beach, showing him New York City, introducing him to Seaworld in San Antonio, and taking him to Pelican Bay. Kiley had a flair for color and fashion. Anytime you saw her out, her unique personality was always shown through the variety of colors and her particular way of blending them together – with her always colorful, very unique hair. Kiley’s passion for her family was beautifully displayed through the tattoos she loved so much. Her Dad shared a special moment with her in South Padre when he let her pet her first live parrots. Every time she saw parrots, she thought of her Dad. The tattoo of the parrot on her right shoulder expresses the colorful love and memories of her Dad which she held in her heart. Her Granny was very special to her. She would spend time with Granny every chance she got. Sewing, bingo, trips to Pelican Bay – all done together. She was her confidante, her rock, and her best friend. Kiley’s left arm displays a beautiful Irish woman in memory of her Granny. “Always around then and now.” As Kiley’s Mom has said many times, “She made me see the world in a different way.” That was so true of her. Driving down the road one afternoon, they passed a pale blue car with a white vinyl top with red rusted paint on the side. Most people would see an eyesore. As the car drove by, Kiley said that it reminded her of a sunset in the sky. She had a special way of seeing beauty in the ugly. This was true of the way she saw people as well. During and after her pregnancy, she spent a significant portion of her free time volunteering at Mercy House – a place where the poor, the homeless, drug addicts, and mentally ill go to get a warm meal. Those many in the world see as hopeless – Kiley saw as valuable people who couldn’t help themselves, served them, and loved them. The same people Jesus spends time with and same way Jesus loves them. She was an avid collector of cell phones and cars – most times not by choice . She loved Scentsy, crafting, pushing coupons on people, essential oils (she had a solution for just about everything with some combination of them), the organic lifestyle, James Avery jewelry, country and Christian music, concerts, and her family. “Every time you see the dandelion seed – blow it away and think of me.” Kiley’s family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2 from 5:00 until 8:00pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX. Kiley’s service will be on Tuesday, August 4 at 2:30pm at Springcreek Community Church, 2660 Belt Line Road, Garland, TX.
