Mrs Kimberly Kay Harlow's Obituary
HARLOW, KIMBERLY KAY, 35, beloved wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend to so many died the morning of April 3rd, 2008. Kim battled cancer for three and a half years, inspiring others with her strength and selfless devotion to friends and family. She never lost her sense of humor and continued to live every minute to its fullest. In large and small ways, Kim made especially sure that her husband and young daughter would have wonderful memories to sustain them after she returned home to her Lord. Kim was born in Rota, Spain, in 1972 where her father was stationed in the US Navy. She graduated with honors from Trinity High School in Euless, Texas. Kim graduated with two bachelor degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She pledged the Alpha Phi sorority and continued to be an active member until her final days. She was an enthusiastic fan of UT football and lived one of her dreams of seeing them win the National Championship in the Rose Bowl. Kim married Bryan Harlow in 1997, and their daughter Madeline Paige Harlow was born in 2002. Kim was a wonderful, selfless wife and mother. She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Allen Robert Bennett; her grandfather Arnold Neal and grandmother Hazel Neal; her cousin Amanda Bennett. She is survived by her husband, Bryan, and daughter Madeline of The Colony, Texas; she is also survived by her parents, Donna Bennett Neal and Charles Clinton Neal of Bedford, Texas; her brother Brent Neal and his wife, Kayte, and their children Ashley and Tristan of Raleigh, North Carolina; her grandmother Vivian Bennett of Gatesville, Texas. Her aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends are strongly impacted by her loss. She was a giving, nurturing spirit to countless friends and family; she is loved greatly and sorely missed by many. Visitation will be from 6:00 ‘ 8:00 pm on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2008 at Parkway Hills Baptist Church, 2700 N. Dallas Pkwy., Plano, TX 75093. Kim requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in her memory to IBC Research Foundation, 321 High School Road, STE D3 #149, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110-2648.
