Ms. Kimloan Thi Le's Obituary
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kimloan Thi Le, aged 67, of Garland, Texas. Kimloan passed away on February 5th, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous decade-long battle with cancer.
Born in Vinh Long, Vietnam, Kimloan was the cherished daughter of Nguyen Thi Gan and Le Van Sy, who dedicated their lives to providing for their family as coach bus drivers. Kimloan was an educator at heart, beginning her career as a dedicated elementary school teacher, and later serving as a beloved principal. Her unwavering commitment to her students was a testament to her love for the children she taught.
It was during a school staff trip to the beach in 1988 that Kimloan met her soulmate, Anh Vien, and the two were married a few months later. Driven by a desire to provide their family with greater opportunities, they made the life-changing decision to immigrate to America. In America, they were blessed with the addition of their youngest daughter and raised their family in Garland, Texas, both working labor-intensive jobs to ensure that their daughters lived fulfilling lives.
As an avid gardener, Kimloan was a lover of nature and tended a beautiful vegetable garden in her backyard and an extravagant flower garden in front. Kimloan had a unique way of making everyone feel special through her generous nature, offering anything and everything she could. Her selfless spirit made her a true friend to all. She touched the lives of so many with her kind heart, infectious smile, and unwavering spirit.
Kimloan was preceded in death by her beloved father, Sy. She leaves behind her cherished mother, her devoted husband, and her two beloved daughters, Bao Ngoc Ton and Baochau Ton.
A Buddhist ceremony will be held at Restland Funeral Home to celebrate Kimloan’s life, where her memory will be honored and celebrated by those who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in her honor.
We ask for your love and support as we navigate this difficult time and grieve the loss of a truly remarkable person. Kimloan will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in peace and may her journey bring her enlightenment and happiness in her next life.
