Kirby Sue Williams' Obituary
WILLIAMS, KIRBY SUE BECKETT (MOM, MAW MAW) age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 26, 2013 with family by her side. She was born on January 19, 1930 in E1 Paso, TX to the late Kirby and Louise Beckett. She was a proud “Texas Gal” who resided in several states during her lifetime, but Texas was her home. She graduated from Colorado Women’s University on May 26, 1949 with an associate’s degree in the Arts. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, gardener and an avid reader; belonging to her book club for the last 36 years. She and her late husband, Harry Richard Williams (Dick) shared a terrific love for all animals, especially dogs. Everyone who was blessed enough to know her loved her immediately as they felt her sincerity and sweetness. She was the sunshine of the world to each and every person she ever met and her warm smile will never be forgotten. Kirby Sue was very happily married for 57 years to the late Harry Richard Williams. She is survived by daughters, Denise and husband Jim Dobier; Kelly and husband Frank Chi ado, both of Albuquerque, NM; son, Kevin Williams and wife Lori Savell of Cypress, TX; cousin, Mary Ann Doggett of Houston, TX; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and many, many close friends. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interrment following immediately in Restland Memorial Park. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to a charity benefiting animals in Kirby Sue’s name.
