Kirsten Elizabeth Leffler's Obituary
Kirsten Elizabeth Leffler, age 23, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. She was born to Brad Leffler and Kerith Lino Leffler on October 18, 2000, in Plano, Texas.
She was born with 22q11.2 deletion syndrome and truncus arteriosus which was repaired when she was 6 days old. Her syndrome created lots of health issues including spending 85 days in hospitals but she was a fierce fighter. A staph infection entered her body and attacked her heart and liver. Her body shut down quickly, and she died after 5 days in the ICU with her parents and sister, Katelyn Leffler, and brother, Joshua Leffler, next to her in the recliner she stubbornly crawled into the morning of the 6th.
She loved superheroes, animals- especially Shadow and her three guinea pigs - and vacations at the beach.
She leaves her loved ones with great memories. Her family and friends will greatly miss her mix of sweetness and sass. And yet Kirsten’s family and friends rejoice and take comfort in knowing that she trusted in the saving grace of Jesus and is in heaven with a healed and whole body. We will have a glorious reunion someday.
