Klaus, this morning I went to write since our messages went to every few mos. I knew right away something was off, and here I am. I sorry to hear of your passing this Easter Morning my friend. I will miss our back and forth, our lunches in random places, managing to get you to travel more than a couple of miles to do something when others could not, and the laughs we shared time and time again. I am grateful for our friendship and am hoping you are without the ailments that took you from us. 💔❤️

I can confirm Klaus' passion for German Fußball. We would often talk during or after World Cup games. I have known Klaus almost all of my life - since I was 3 years old or so. I also grew up in the small town of Dörverden, Germany. Klaus was a good friend of my older brother, Dieter, and came over to our house, starting at a very young age, every Sunday afternoon.
Like Klaus, I ended up in the United States in Oregon. I was lucky to visit him and Diane with my husband in Dallas a few years ago, where we spent a few wonderful days together, with Klaus being a gracious host and excellent tour guide.
I'll miss him.
