Kong Lim's Obituary
Kong Lim passed away on March 29th, 2024 in Dallas, Texas.
He was born in Cambodia March 3rd, 1960 to Bunhai Var and Jor Kimhea. He came to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his uncle’s family August 27th, 1981. He graduated from high school in 1984. Afterwards, he graduated from Mechanical school with a mechanic degree. He met and married his wife, Sophanny in 1988. In 1997, he moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and worked with assembling airplane parts. In 2001, he moved to Dallas, Texas to start a donut business. Kong was a jack of all trades. He was a person who never said no or hesitated when it came to helping others. During his spare time, he loved to go fishing, learn how to fix new things, watch football, finding deals, listening to music, and spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sophanny Sim, his daughter, Joanne Tang, son in law, Jimmy Tang, his son, Allan Sim, grandchildren, Joshua and Jocelyn Tang, sister, Sokheng Var, and brother Ly Bunsal Var.
