It is only now that my husband and I sadly learned of Kristi's passing to her eternal home. We were the department leaders of the class Kristi and Bob attended at our church (Park Place Baptist in Houston) while they both attended University of Houston. We have many fond memories of them during courtship and then having the honor to attend their wedding in Dallas. She so graciously asked her dad to escort us back to see and visit her just before the wedding service began. It is one of my fondest ever memories that I have spoken of many times with friends. What a precious child of god! She called to let us know when Catherine was born. We wish we had kept closer contact over the following years. We are so happy Kristi and Bob had two wonderful children (Catherine and James) to love and enjoy together. Our love and blessings go out to you her family always. -- In Christ, Mike and Cathy Smith

What an amazing person you were! Our world has truly lost one of the most humble, kindest and thoughtful Angel! I met Dr, Kristi Chan about 16 years ago when I took my daughter in to see her, she was 3 at the time.. She was so patient with her during the exam I could feel the warmth from her. From that moment on she became a part of our family. From my husband, my children,my mother my sisters, and even my nephews we all looked forward and enjoyed our visits with her. Dr. Kristi Chan thank you for all the wonderful years you gave to my family we are truly blessed having had you in our lives. Following your practice to Frisco was a no brainer! To your beautiful family she spoke of you Catherine and James as often as possible. With so much love in her eyes for you both I know were her pride and joy! Although I only met you once when you were very young I felt like I knew you both. As for her parents she always said how blessed she felt for having you both. Kristi gave me your recipe to the butternut squash soup to help me with my arthritis. To her husband I always knew just how proud she was of you! Thank you to all of Dr. Chans family for sharing her with us if only for a short time. She was a breath of fresh air! My family will continue to pray for your healing. Dear Dr Bobby Chan, We met Dr Kristi Chan when our son was tested for eye glasses at the Target location where she practiced. My wife was a totally impressed and charmed by Kristi's bubbly spirit and knowledge. We talked about family and school. Soon my other son and me switched over to seeing her for our eye issues. Despite her ailment, she always seemed in high spirits. She will always be remembered in our thoughts. Our prayer goes out to you and your children. Cheers shri

I met Kristi just days before she was diagnosed with cancer. We were serving the Children's Ministry at our church together for Good Friday service. I remember it vividly. She had a patience and a way with the kids that I did not. She was stern, yet loved them with the heart of Jesus. I remember thinking I had a lot to learn for this special lady and wanted to get to know her better. I am thankful that God kept Kristi here on Earth for 3 years longer than expected by the doctors. She has touched so many of us and I will never forget her example of love, strength, faith and hope in our LORD.
