Kurtis Wei Xu's Obituary
Kurtis Wei Xu, was born on Sept 20, 2000 and passed away peacefully at Medical City Children’s Hospital in Dallas on March 29, 2021 at the age of 20. He attended Plano East Senior High School and was in the 12th grade. Kurtis was born in Dallas but lived in his parents’ hometown in Beijing from when he was 7 months old to 8 years old then he permanently moved back to Dallas to continue his education in US.
Kurtis was an enthusiastic boy growing up. He always had a smile that could brighten up a whole world. He had the kindest heart, friendliest personality and was loved by everyone who knew him. Kurtis was given the most exceptional care and love from his parents, family members, close friends, doctors and his teachers. He enjoyed music, art, swimming, sports games, traveling, dining out and had a luxurious lifestyle during his entire life. He always dressed neat and presentably. He especially enjoyed playing piano, listening to music and watching sports programs and Disney movies in his free time. He cared deeply for his parents and was the center and the whole world of his parents’ life.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Wei Bai and his father, Kurt Ke Xu.
Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00pm-6:00pm on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Restland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will take place 2:00pm on Friday, April 23, 2021 at The Wildwood Chapel in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
As limited spaces are permitted on site due to COVID-19, All services will be private for immediate family members and close friends.
