Lahoma D. Farar's Obituary
FARAR, LAHOMA D. Born August 28, 1927 in Checotah, Oklahoma and passed away April 12, 2012 at Seagoville, Texas. Lahoma and Artie started married life out together 64 years ago in Oklahoma. They lived in Garland, Texas for 42 years. She spent her life caring for her family and in her 30’s went to school receiving a degree as an LVN. Many lives were blessed for her compassion and care giving in hospitals and in private duty nursing. Her passions in life were her children, nursing and singing for her Lord & Savior. Preceded in death by great grandson, Joshua Wayne Gentry. Lahoma is survived by husband, Artie Farar of Seagoville; daughters, Carolyn & husband Everett Dickerson of Seagoville, Texas, Deanna & husband David White of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; sons, John Farar of Trophy Club, Texas, Artie & wife Melinda Farar of Garland, Texas, Tommy Farar & wife Christi of Vian, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; one sister, two brothers, many nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 15th from 4:00-6:00pm at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held on Monday April 16th at 12.30pm at Restland Memorial Chapel with burial at Roselawn Cemetery on Hwy 175 in Seagoville, Texas at 3:00pm.
