Larry Franklyn Carder's Obituary
Larry Franklin Carder Born August 30, 1939 in Dallas, Texas Passed away on June 29, 2015 Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Everard Carder. He was the youngest child and was the last to join all his brothers and sisters in Heaven and a great grandson. Larry graduated from North Dallas High School in 1957. There, he was on the ROTC Silent Drill Rifle Team and an excellent marksman. In his earlier years, he loved to race cars, first an MGA and then a Lotus Elan. He raced all over Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Larry was a member of the Sports Car Club of America and the Corvette Club, holding several offices in these clubs. In later years, he enjoyed watching all car races, the Dallas Cowboys and Texas A&M football games, he also loved to read. He attended Texas A&M & U.T.A. then graduated from Dallas Baptist College. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, especially during the many trips with son-in-law Ed Tibljas and his grandkids. Larry is survived by wife of 28 years, Bobbie Carder, and daughter Kim Carder Tibljas and husband Ed, their children and grandchildren: Jim & Stephanie Tibljas (children: Brooklynn, Lena Grace, Lincoln); Travis & Dana Tibljas (Sebastian, Bryton, Charlee, Kanin, Gina & Mark Rogers) ( Kash & Kallen); Audrie & Jerry Lamb (Cooper), Other-daughter Kelly Dibble and her four children: son, Joseph; daughters Kristy & husband Justin Dillrich (Maddison, Karleigh, Jackson); Tracy & Osiel Esquvail (Reese); Samatha Dibble; Other-son Rusty and wife Paula & their two children: (Russell & Brady); and many nieces & nephews. Service will be held at 12:30 PM Friday, July 3, 2015 at Restland Memorial Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 at Restland Road.
