Larry Conley Colyar's Obituary
Larry passed away peacefully at his home in Dallas after a two year long fight with colorectal cancer in both lungs. This was Larry’s seventh and finale fight with colorectal cancer since 2006. He was survived by his beloved husband and caregiver, Mychael E. Long. By his longest and dearest friends Bob and Carol Stewart of Ft. Worth, best friends Charlie Strack, Jerry Cottingham and husband Kevin Walsh, Paul Palmer, Les Holben, friends Daniel Pinkoski, Jim Reeves, Doris Ricks-Lankford, Ronnie English, as well as many other loving and caring friends. Larry was raised and schooled in Dallas, including receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from SMU in 1960 and his Juris Doctorate in 1963 from the SMU School of Law. Larry later worked for the Texas Employment Commission as a hearing judge for over 21 years until his retirement.
