Larry Covin's Obituary
Larry L. Covin was born in Diana, Texas on May 9, 1939 to parents Louie & Elma Covin. He attended East Texas State University and SMU. He was employed by DISD for 43 years, which included basketball and football coaching positions and administrative positions at various schools. After retiring in 2003 he continued to hold temporary positions. He is survived by his wife, Sharon, daughter and son-in-law Dawn & Robert Phillips, Son and daughter-in-law Sean & Christina Covin, Son Michael L. Covin, granddaughter Avery Phillips and grandson Michael Covin, Jr. Sister, Linda Greenhaw, Brother & Sister -in-Law Harold and Jo Covin. Services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 3:30 p.m. at Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas. A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Restland Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
