Larry Robert Dolton's Obituary
Larry Robert Dolton was born on February 19, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, and passed away on December 30, 2017. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.He had a love for knowledge so much so that he pursued his master’s degree in Library Science at Brigham Young University. There he also met the love of his live, Mary, and they were married while attending BYU. Larry dedicated his life to serving his church, including serving a two year mission in Denver, Colorado, as well as countless other callings in his church. He was an entrepreneur at heart and followed in his father’s footsteps, helping operate businesses in printing and real estate. Despite have Becker’s Muscular Dystrophy and dealing with the physical limitations of his disability, he found joy in teaching and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.Larry was preceded in death by his niece, Christy Dolton; his mother, Jeanne Dolton; and his father, Robert Dolton.He is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Amy and her husband Jodie, Marc and his wife Kacie, and Penni and her husband Da Nang; his brother Chris and his wife Vicki, and Jeff; his nephews, Aaron, Adam, Blake, and Jeremy; his niece, Ashley; and seven grandchildren, Ryann, Mason, Connor, Preston, Aedan, Kenzie, and Graham.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2015 at 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 10701 E. Lake Highlands Dr., Dallas, TX 75218In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association at MDA.org.
