Larry Paul Johnson's Obituary
JOHNSON, LARRY PAUL of Dallas, TX passed away on January 4, 2013 at the age of 61. He was born March 21, 1951 in Dallas to Paul & Evelyn Johnson. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School in 1969 and attended The University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Shortly after moving to Colorado, Larry married Sonya G. Kern in Platteville, CO on February 14, 1981. After bringing his family back to Dallas in 1984 he later began his 26 year career in the insurance sales industry. His relationship with the Lord was always first and his foundation. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. Larry enjoyed traveling to Colorado and camping in the mountains. He was fond of the Piney Woods in East TX, where his father was from in Hopewell. He loved singing, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. His witty and humorous personality left an imprint on all those who knew him. Larry had a wonderful life full of good friends, good times and good memories. He is survived by, wife Sonya Johnson; daughters, Jessica Johnson and Cassie Johnson; grandson, Vincent Paul who he called “Budder”; son in Law, Marcos Castellano; sisters, Linda Shepherd and Jeannie McKeown and spouses; mother in Law, Imogene Kern; brother in Law, Curtis Kern; sister in Law, Sheila Patterson; 3 nieces, 3 nephews and cousins. A memorial service with be held Friday, January 11, at 3PM, located in the Floyd Chapel at Lake Highlands Baptist Church.
