Larry Rogers, DVM's Obituary
Larry Rogers, born in Springfield, Missouri May 24, 1925 to Clifford L. Rogers and Emma A. Rogers, passed away on June 26, 2019. He graduated from Highland Park High School (’42) and Texas A&M (’46) with the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Larry served in Korea and Japan with the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, returned to Dallas and was in practice at Park Cities Animal Hospital.He is predeceased by his parents. Survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan L. Rogers, the blond Red Cross girl he met and married in Japan; and cousins, Phil and Lorraine Simpson and family. For 30 years, Larry and his wife were intrepid travelers, visiting over 100 countries, and all seven continents.Contributions may be made to the SPCA of Texas and Dallas Life Foundation.Funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
