Larry George Slay's Obituary
Our Father, Larry Slay, age 90, passed peacefully in his home on January 19th 2025. This enormous loss to our family preceded another very recent loss of our Mother, Larry’s wife June Slay. Dad’s love for his family, and our Mom, was glorified in his illustrious career and passion for providing for his family that he loved so very much. His humor and that unforgettable smile, and gratefulness towards others, whoever they may be, inspired those who knew him, and those that loved him. As this may be difficult for all of us who knew our Dad, it is without saying that they are both together again. Our parents early commitment in Christ began in our early childhood as we developed our faith and love for our family, and that of our selfless parents commitment to put their children first in their life. Our family truly appreciates the prayers and outgoing love and support, during this difficult time as we lay our Father to rest. We also want to encourage those who knew Dad, to remember the many happy stories you have of him, and to share those stories with the ones you care about and love, for his spirit and faith will live in our Hearts forever. Rest in peace Dad, you will be deeply missed.
Our Father was born in Marietta, Ohio on April 25th 1934. Larry is preceded in his passing by his parents, Willard Slay and Dorothy May Gregg, and is survived by his sons: Brian Slay, and his ex-spouse Jeanne Slay and daughter Brianna Slay, Douglas Slay and his wife Karen and their son Dylan and daughter Regan Slay, and Larry’s son Kevin Slay, and Larry’s daughter Judy Slay Adamczak, and daughter Jadin and husband Maciek with her sons, Stephen Fronk and wife Heather, and daughters Brooklyn and Taylor, Aaron Fronk and wife Julian, with their daughters Harper, Sunny, and Beau, and Larry’s sister Karen Quellette and her children Steve, Julie, and Darren, and Larry’s brother Robin Slay and his wife Jackie with their daughter and son Tamera Slay Wattenbarger, and Jeff Slay and their children, and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
