Larry Allen Withrow's Obituary
Larry Allen Withrow, 69, of Ft Worth, Texas, went to be with the Lord, on April 30, 2020.
Larry was born on born October 4, 1950 in Red House, West Virginia. He attended Poca High School in Poca, West Virginia. He later attended Trucking School in Denison, Texas in 2001.
Larry worked in restaurant management between 1967 and 1976 then began a career in Steel Fabricating between 1976 through 1986. In 1986, Larry started his career at Lockheed Martin, where he assembled F16 aircrafts. After a layoff, Larry managed and later owned a restaurant and lounge for several years until working for Peterbuilt, then again working for Lockheed Martin, where he worked with the assembly of the F-22 aircrafts and eventually retired in 2015.
Larry loved Corvettes, as well as other cars, the Cowboys, art and photography, antiques and buying and selling numerous items on Craig’s list. He was always trying to find the “best deal.” Larry enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking his morning coffee and always had a small dog by his side, his latest being Sugar.
Through the years, Larry enjoyed life with first, Sharon Withrow, who he had 6 children, Wendell Withrow, Sherry Withrow, Theresa Whysong, Larry Withrow JR, Kimberly Withrow, and Billy Withrow. Later, he enjoyed life with Mary Carte, with who he had Jason Withrow. Then he later enjoyed life with Dora Mata, helping raise her son Abraham. They all remained close throughout the years.
Larry is survived by his daughter, Theresa and husband Dave Whysong of Ashtabula, Ohio, sons, Wendell Withrow and Karlene of Cleveland, Ohio, Jason and wife Claudia Withrow of McKinney, Texas, and Larry Withrow JR. of Orwell, Ohio, sister Kathy and husband Mark Casto of Eleanor West, Virginia, 22 grand children, 20 great grand children, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, William Ervin and Cannie Mae (Shamblin) Withrow, Brothers Ervin Eugene and Timmy Lee Withrow, Daughters Sherry Withrow and Kimberly Withrow, son Billy Withrow, Granddaughter Lora Withrow, and Grandson Tyler Withrow.
A memorial service will be held at his home state of West Virginia later in the summer.
