Laura Carolyn Galbraith's Obituary
On October 16, 2022, Laura Carolyn Galbraith passed away peacefully at age 75 after a battle with various health issues. Carolyn was widely known for her generosity, spirituality, and kindness, as well as her time as a 911 operator for the City of Sachse where she helped in saving many lives. She will forever be remembered as “Mama Carolyn” by those who knew her, due to her indomitable motherly spirit. While she will be missed, we can take solace in knowing heaven earned a new citizen and the rest of us earned a new guardian angel.
Consistent with Carolyn’s request, the family decided not to hold a formal memorial service; however family, friends, and loved ones can pay their respects at Restland Funeral Home (Garden of Ascension) after October 26, 2022.
Carolyn is survived by her sons James and John-Paul Galbraith, sister Marilyn Gibson, nephew Matthew Gibson and his wife Erin Russell Gibson, son-in-law Matthew Zamora, and several grandchildren and cousins. She is preceded in death by her mother Jean Case, father Francis K. Brown, and husband Jim Galbraith.
