Laura Jane Gerac's Obituary
Laura Jane Gerac, aged 69, passed away peacefully in her home on August 20, 2024. Visitation will be held Sunday September 22, 2024, 1-2 pm, funeral service will begin at 2pm in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, TX.
Laura was born on September 11, 1954, in Ardmore, OK to the late Doyle and Barbetta Henson.
Laura was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, granny, sister, and friend. She was hard-working, dedicated, and recently retired from a career in finance. She enjoyed crocheting baby blankets, reading, spending time with her loved ones, and traveling. She lived a life of unconditional love and would always help those in need.
Her presence filled every room with love and warmth, and her absence has left a void that can never be filled. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth, cherished by her children, grandchildren, siblings and many loved ones. We find comfort in knowing her legacy lives on through the lessons she taught us, the love she shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Laura is survived by her daughter, Amanda Jane Wright of Little Elm; son, Mark David Anderson of Garland, TX; grandchildren, Marissa Anderson, Mark Anderson Jr., Samantha Anderson and Kacen Ward-Wright; great grandchildren, Valerie Anderson,
Remmi Anderson and Axle Anderson; sister, Sheri Wallace; brother, Mike Henson; nieces, Kathryn Jayne, Eliza Henson, Hannah Henson; nephew, Cody Robinson; great nieces and nephews, Michele Rader, Brianna Robinette, Peyton Jayne, Bentley Robinson, Paisley Robinson, Clara Henson, Indiana Page, Roslynn Robinson, Henson Page, Doyle McGuckin and Bailynn Robinson.
She was preceded in death by her parents Doyle and Barbetta Henson; husband, Myron Gerac; nephews, Alan Jayne and Christopher Michael; daughter-in law, Tanya Anderson.
