Laura Lee Hodgkinson's Obituary
Laura Lee Hodgkinson, age 60 passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on the evening of April 4, 2019. If you were a part of her life, whether it be family, one of her friends, neighbor, colleague, or even an acquaintance, she made a genuine investment in you. Her sheer joy was contagious to everyone she met, and all of our hearts will be forever touched by her. “Laurie” was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 4, 1958 to Diana DeWitt and Ronald Hodgkinson Sr. Survived by her loving life partner, John Tilley and his son Jonathan, Stepmother Marianella Hodgkinson, five brothers, Ronald, Robert, Richard, Deru, and David, four sisters, Mickie, Linda, Kathleen, and Karen, stepfather, David DeWitt, her best friend of 45 years, Beverly Thomas Jenkins, her God Daughter Breelyn Jenkins Bomba, as well as many nieces, nephews and in-laws who adored her.She moved to Dallas at an early age and not long after college, took the path that led Laurie to her well respected, legendary career in the wedding industry as a Bridal Specialist. First, she made her mark at Neiman Marcus and later spent many rewarding years at Stanley Korshak in Dallas. Laurie was a free spirit with a sentimental soul. She was a believer who was passionate about music, art, nature and her treasured collection of elephants.Services will be held at Royal Lane Baptist Church located at 6707 Royal Lane, Dallas, Texas 75230, at Six Thirty in the evening on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Following the service, a celebration of life will be held in the church fellowship hall.Well done, good and faithful servant. We will forever miss and love you, “La”.
