Laura Jeanne Kurfees' Obituary
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Laura Jeanne Kurfees of Garland, Texas, who gracefully gained her angel wings on March 27th, 2024, at 5:58 am, marking her 42nd wedding anniversary. Laura was born on September 24, 1952, in East St. Louis, Illinois, to her loving parents, Robert Rauch and Dixie Ann Rauch, nee Dunn. She is now reunited in eternity with her parents. Laura's animals held a very special place in her heart and we can only imagine that beautiful reunion at the Rainbow Bridge.
Left to cherish Laura's memory is her devoted husband, Gary Kurfees, her adoring daughter, Jennifer Tinney, her sisters, Morgan Rauch, Kaye White, and Marcia Gow, along with her beloved grandchildren, Ashton and husband Justin Westerman, Garret Tinney, and great-grandson Dean Westerman. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Mitchell Tinny, brother-in-law Greg Gow, cherished cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, along with many other relatives and friends.
Laura's spirit illuminated every room she entered, and her infectious laughter could brighten even the darkest days. Laura's legacy of laughter and love will remain eternally engraved in our hearts. Though she may have left this Earth, her memory will live on through the countless stories and cherished moments shared by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 1970, Laura embarked on a lifelong journey of love and companionship when she married her soulmate, Gary, in 1982. Together, they shared a beautiful life. Laura's absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were touched by her warmth and kindness.
In honor of Laura's remarkable life, let us celebrate the joy she brought into the world and strive to carry on her legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. Though she may be gone from our sight, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in our lives. Rest in peace, dear Laura, knowing that you are deeply loved and will be missed until we meet again.
