Laura Jeneane Pleasant's Obituary
Laura Jeneane Pleasant, age 83, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2022 after a long battle with Dementia. Jeneane was born in 1938 in Wells, Texas to Clinton Forest Sessions and Mabel Estell Barlett. She lived in Wells, Texas until she married her high school sweetheart James Eugene Pleasant who preceded her in death in 2005.
After marrying, Jeneane and Eugene moved to Dallas, Texas where they worked and raised a family. She worked as a book keeper helping Eugene with his CPA business.
Jeneane was a true servant of God and to her family. Both she and Eugene were very active in their church. They hosted church fellowship groups in their home where they faithfully taught and lived out Christ -like lives. Jeneane embodied a life consistent with the most important commandments as taught by Jesus Christ; " Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself." Jesus said, "All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Jeneane was a most generous and kind person to both family and friends. She never hesitated to help those in need regardless of how busy she was. She had a good sense of humor, loved to laugh, and enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Jeneane is survived by her two sons: Jon Mark, his wife Sandra and son Paul Largent, Jonathan and his wife Becky and daughter Emma Elizabeth. She will be dearly missed by her surviving family members until we are all united again in Heaven with God our Father, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Visitation will be held at Restland Home at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243 (469) 925-1436 at the WildWood Chapel on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 1:00pm-2:00pm.
Funeral service will be held on Monday June 27, 2022 at 2:00pm at Restland Wildwood Chapel at 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
