Lauren Elizabeth Moore's Obituary
Lauren Elizabeth Moore, 18, passed away at home in the early morning hours of Thursday, February 3, 2011 of an epileptic seizure. Lauren was born August 28, 1992 in Houston, TX, but lived most of her life in Dallas, TX, Chandler, AZ, and recently in Alpharetta, GA where she graduated from Milton High School in 2010. She was currently attending classes at Georgia Perimeter College, pursuing her dream of completing a degree in fashion design at either Auburn University or University of Georgia. Lauren was known for her warmth, affection, and outgoing personality, and as a result endeared herself to everyone she met. During her school years, she was a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Her high school pursuits included serving as captain of the JV and Varsity cheer squads, and as VP of Milton’s chapter of the Humane Society. In addition, she enthusiastically served as a long-time member and youth group leader with both NorthPointe Baptist Church in Chandler and Stonecreek Church in Alpharetta. She is survived by her loving parents, Patrick and Stephanie Gilliland, Alpharetta; Roy Moore, Houston; Lisa Moore Wagner, Cypress, TX; brothers Ryan, Aidan Moore and Kane Wagner; Grandparents David and Patricia Taylor, Alpharetta; Robert and Shirley Whitson, Dallas; Carol and the late John D. Gilliland, Dallas; uncles, Mark, Bryce, and Brandyn Taylor; Johnny and wife Dana Gilliland; Chris and wife Kathryn Gilliland, along with an extended family who loved and cherished Lauren. A Dallas memorial service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 12:30 P.M. at Restland’s Wildwood Chapel with reception to immediately follow at Restland Funeral Home. An Alpharetta memorial service will be held at Stonecreek Church on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with reception to immediately follow. In honor of Lauren, flowers can be sent to either memorial. Lauren was an avid animal lover; if desired donations can be sent in her memory to the Humane Society.
