Lynn, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless.
I was Tim's nurse at Sterling House. He was such a sweet man. He always had a smile. My day was always better after seeing him and getting a "good morning" from him. He was a true gentleman. Even though several residents moved to Buffalo Creek, Tim was the only one I cried about. He will be missed.
Tim was my cousin, but I only met him a few times as a small child. He was 19 years older than I was, so he would not have remembered me when we came to see Uncle Tom an Aunt Gladys Roehm in Dayton, Ohio. That was in the late 1940s and early fifties. My father, John Andrew Cotterman, born January 8, 1909 in Miamisburg, Ohio, was the brother of Aunt Gladys Lucinda Cotterman Roehm. My father died April 29, 1974 in Sacramento. California. My mother Freda Helen Moore Cotterman died February 26, 1969 in Sacramento, California. I am 73 years old, born March 14, 1939 in Dayton (same as Aunt Gladys)and I still have two living brothers, James Frederick Cotterman, age 81, born December 9, 1931 and Winston Cotterman, age 71, born March 19, 1941. My brother Eugene Paul Cotterman, born September 29, 1935, died on December 16, 1998, in California. My brother Phillip Allen Cotterman, born April 26, 1944, died in a car wreck in Clarksville, Tennessee on October 15, 1981. Several years ago I tried to locate Tim and I sent him a letter, but it was returned undelivered. I was interested in discussing our family genealogy. I am, still interested in finding out more about my father's side of the family, so I can leave my two children some history. I am, sorry to see that Tim passed on. Sincerely, John Douglas Cotterman, 21 Mesero Way, Hot Springs, Arkansas, 71909, Telephone number 501-922-6444.
