Laurin Langran Smith's Obituary
Laurin Langran Smith, Sr. went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, July 28, 2009. Laurin was born September 30, 1933 and was 75 years old. Laurin is survived by his wife, Sara Quattlebaum Smith and children, Brian A. Smith and wife, Christel, of Lucas, Texas; Laurin L. Smith, Jr. and wife, Lynn, of Everett, Washington; Lisa Smith Bellows and grandsons, Jacob & Jesse Bellows of The Colony, Texas and Christopher Smith of Seattle, Washington. His parents, Haskell and Wynell Smith preceeded him in death. Laurin was a founding, charter member of the University of North Texas chapter of Theta Chi. Laurin was the first Chairman of the Board and one of the founders of Carribbean Partnership Mission to the Island of Dominica. Those that knew Laurin knew he was a loving, kind, funny person who had two priorities: Jesus Christ and family. Rest in Peace my Beloved husband, no more pain and suffering, only Joy being in the presence of Jesus Christ. Visitation will be 3:00 – 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 2, 2009 in Restland Funeral Home. Service will be 3:00 PM, Monday, August 3, 2009 in Restland Wildwood Chapel.
