LaVern Morehouse's Obituary
Thelma “LaVern” Morehouse, 79, of Johnson City, TN passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. She was born August 15, 1935 in Dallas, TX. LaVern married Sam A. Morehouse February 14, 1968. She was a member of the Boones Creek Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN. Preceding LaVern in death are her husband Sam A. Morehouse, her parents Elmer and Tola Climer, her brothers Charles and Jimmy Climer. She is survived by her sister Donna Story (Sam), her two daughters Stephanie Grey (Phil) and Cinder Coher (Arden), her step-son Sam W. Morehouse (Janet), her 5 grandchildren: Jason Morehouse (Liz), Brandon Morehouse, Crystal Bennett (David), Eric Coher (Jodie), Tyler Coher (Heidi), and her 2 great grandchildren: Caden Coher and Aubrey Coher. A viewing will be held at Restland Funeral Home & Memorial Chapel in Dallas, TX. from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 with a service to celebrate her life immediately following. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in LaVern’s honor.
