LaVerne Jewel Freeman's Obituary
Jewel LaVerne Norman Freeman of Quitman, Texas, born July 8th, 1933 went to be with The Lord on September 24th 2023. She died peacefully in her home. LaVerne grew up in Chickasha, Oklahoma and was the youngest of three sisters. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Chester A. Norman and Ella J. Cox of Chickasha, Ok. And by her sisters, Margie Jane Young of Dallas TX, and Martha Joy Jex of Ogden. LaVerne was a rancher, a homemaker, a wife, and a dedicated mother and grandmother. She leaves behind two daughters, Vanessa Brooks of Kemp, Texas and Michele Freeman of Quitman, Texas, along with five grandchildren: Caleb Click, Stephanie Norris (deceased), Faith Click, Elijah Click and Colton Clemmo. And four great grandchildren: Maddeline, Cazlyn, Conrad and Calvin. LaVerne loved the Bible, the Cowboys, and time with her family. She will be deeply missed. Services to be held at Restland Funeral Home, 13005 Greenville, Ave. in Dallas, Texas
