Laverne Richter's Obituary
Aug. 2, 1925 – June 19, 2008. LaVerne passed on June 19, 2008 surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Dallas, Texas and lived out her entire life there. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Dr. Charles Richter, son and daughter-in-law Mr. & Mrs. Steven Richter, Daughter Rochelle Richter, grand children: Chuck and David Richter, Erika Vasquez, Michael and Jason Wilder, Mickey Austin, Kerrie Shinpaugh and many great-grand children. LaVerne spent many years in real estate and achieved several “Million Dollar Club” awards from the Dallas Fort Worth Brokers Council. Her favorite pass time was playing Tournimate Bridge. She made many friends and had various partners. She was presented with a “Life Masters Rank” by the American Contract Bridge League in 1983. She enjoyed fishing and relished the fact that she caught and had mounted a larger Black Bass than her husband had caught! She is loved and will be missed.
