LaVonne Riddell Cassity, 85 of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully, at her home, on March 6, 2018, after a long and happy life. LaVonne was born to H. Earl and Magenta Riddell in Dallas, Texas on August 4, 1932. She was an award-winning pianist, a member of Mu Phi Epsilon while attending SMU. She was married to Aaron “Bud” Cassity for 41 years.LaVonne is survived by her husband, “Bud” Aaron Cassity, her children, Valerie “Lyndy” Baldermann of Aurora, Colorado, Brynda “Bryndy” Marble of Plano, Texas, Daniel Cullum of Dallas, Texas and step-daughter, Barbara Zuniga of Dallas;Her grandchildren are Scott Baldermann of Denver, Colorado, Kevin Baldermann of Centennial, Colorado, Rebecca Baldermann Peters of Aurora, Colorado, Jay Marble of Carrollton, Texas, Leanne Marble Dunton of Fairbanks, Alaska, Joseph Marble of Plano, Texas, Jared Marble of Plano, Texas, step-grandchildren: Josh Puyear of Kaufman Texas, Michael Puyear of Richardson Texas, Shanda Castleberry of Forney, Texas, Bethany Bailey of Dallas, Texas, and Courtney Fenner of Ft. Worth, Texas.She enjoyed twelve great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.The family requests that visitation hours be observed 10:00am to 11:00am, Saturday, March 10, 2018. A funeral has been scheduled at Restland Memorial Park on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:30am.She was an enthusiastic supporter of animal rescue organizations and the Salvation Army.
