Lawrence Aikens Johnson Sr., age 68 of Cedar Hill, Texas, passed away on April 13, 2024, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on February 8, 1956 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Annie Laura Pierce and Lawrence Cecil Aikens.
He was a member of Local Teamster 745 Union. He loved playing football and basketball with his grandson, Aiden.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Annie L. Pierce and Lawrence Cecil Aikens; sisters, Beverly Johnson and June Price; brothers, Johnny George and Clifton Johnson; and his second wife, the mother of his children, Lonita P. Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Denise (Alfred) Johnson; Sons, Davin Pickett, Lawrence Johnson, Jr. and Reginald R. Alfred; daughters, Lauren A. Pickett and Chelsea R. Woodward; 10 grandchildren; sisters, Deborah R. Johnson, Barbara Mack (Alvin) and Denise Brown and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services will be officiated by the Rev. Franklin Mitchell.
