Lawrence B. Moeller's Obituary
LTC (Ret.) Lawrence B. Moeller, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. He was born to Lawrence Don Moeller and Ida Browning Moeller on Saturday, May 5, 1934, in El Paso, Texas. Larry, to those who knew him or Pop to his grandchildren, leaves his loved ones with unforgettable memories and loving stories. He will be sincerely missed by his loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved him.
Larry retired after 35 years in the Army having served over 20 years in the Infantry as an Aviator which included 2 tours in Vietnam as a Helicopter pilot and numerous medals and awards for his service. Larry was active in his church, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and as a member of Dallas area Lions Clubs and enjoyed volunteering. Most Fridays you would find him working for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; their children Steven and wife Lynn, Stuart and wife Kerrin, Julia and husband Charlie, Paul and wife Paige; and grandchildren Danny and fiancé’ Cala, Brent and wife Alina, Payton, Sarah, Paxton, Debra and husband Taylor and sister Yvonne Morris.
Funeral Services for Larry will take place on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery. Interment with Military Honors will take place at 1:00 PM at the DFW National Cemetery.
