We got to meet Lee about four decades ago in Nacogdoches. Near the end of a weekend of speaking at Grace Bible Church, Lee requested my keys under the guise of finding me a more accessible parking space. He did find a parking spot, and we found our gas tank full!
That spirit of generosity, helps, and encouragement continued with intensity and regularity over years of this servant's peripatetic ministry, It was best evidenced by his care for Susan in her distress over long days, even years. Joy returned to his life with Pedie joining him during the latter years of his life. They would show up at DTS chapels to encourage speakers. I praise God for Lee Danis' life and example of endurance with patience.
