Murphy, Lee Y. was born on August 24, 1933 in Macomb, Illinois and passed away on December 4, 2009 in Richardson, Texas. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War, graduated from the University of Iowa with a Juris Doctor, and retired from the IRS as a Special Agent. Lee is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Murphy; children Curtis Murphy and his wife Sheryl and Karen Smith and her husband Jack; grandchildren Jason Murphy and his wife Crystal, Greg Murphy, Jacob Smith, and Krystal Smith; great grandchildren Brody Murphy; brother Earl W. “Woody” Murphy. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Disabled American Veterans.
