Sincere condolences on Lee’s passing. He was an outstanding leader throughout his life and
I am proud to call him a Fellow Sunset Bison!May God Bless Lee and the Family.
Lee was my mother Ruth McCullough Shaw’s 1st cousin. Lee, his sister’s, brothers, my mother and her brother Hal all grew up together in Gober, Texas. Lee, being “the baby”, was coddled not only by his mother, but my grandmother, who he called Aunt Paulie, Aunt Alma Dansby, Fat Aunie a (her chosen name), and many more. It truly took a village back then to raise children. Everyone loved “Lee-boy”. Lee, his sister’s Eloise and Dot, brother Buddy, and the cousins could keep us in stitches when talking about their childhood and teen years together. Each one being a character in themselves. Lee was a wonderful and kind man. When my older sister left this Earth, Lee phoned me often just to see how my sister Kathy and I were doing. He cried with me upon learning of her unexpected death. He had been in Southern Louisiana shortly before Nancy’s death and had visited with her. As time went by, he stayed in touch with Kathy and I via email.
It is comforting t o know that he was greeted in Heaven by his wife, Eva, his mother, brothers, sisters, aunts and his many cousins that all loved him dearly. Rest in Heaven, Lee.
Until we meet again,
Jenny Shaw Lane and Kathy Shaw Bonds, your 2nd cousins.
My deepest sympathies are with the Smith family. May the God of tender mercies comfort you with his words written 2Corinthians 1:3,4.
