Lee Martin White, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Dallas. He was born on November 21, 1953 and was 64 years old.Lee is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Cathy; his son Tho Read Obituary
Here it is July 10th,2021 and I just learned of Lee's passing. I met him in elementary school, always punting a football onto the playground. Soft spoken and an easy disposition, a likable one of a kind guy. We also grew up at Broadway Baptist, my folks friends with his. I'm assured he has found rest in the arms of Jesus. I'm sorry to have missed his service.
This just today appeared on my feed. Lee and his brother David were childhood friends and we rode bikes, and played in the Wedgwood neighborhood in the 60's. As we grew older we lost touch, however I remember him to be first rate guy and a good friend. RIP and to the family I send my condolences.
I waited to make an entry. I looked for the words that I wanted to say and … have never been able to find those words. Lost, lost for words to express my sorrow; lost, turning a page in contacts where I see your name, phone, address, etc. and lost when I speak to others who knew you.In the military we never say goodbye, we celebrate because we had to pleasure and honor of knowing a fallen brother – it was hard then, partly because the celebrations seemed to come too fast. It’s hard now because you left … too fast.I can only say it is my honor to call you my friend and a brother of mine who faced Death. I shall see you again I hope … but know I love you … as does Ms. Claire and Sweetness.

Cathy, Mary and all of Lee’s family: I was so shocked and saddened to hear this and my wish is that everyone is able to draw strength and peace from the memories of his wonderful life and legacy. I hold Cathy and Mary in the highest regard and would love to offer any help that I can as you grieve and mourn your tremendous loss.
Kathy, Roy and I are so saddened. We have been out of town for the holidays and came back only to hear this shocking news. Please let Mary and Thomas know how we will pray for all of your peace and understanding. Lee was such a supportive, loving husband and Dad. We’re just so very sorry for your loss.
Uncle Lee was a fixture in our family. He was always there, always ready to participate, up for anything! Birthdays, graduations, holidays, births of our babies, even cross-country moves- he always made a point to be there. Even since we were young kids, his rapid fire questions showed me that I mattered to him and that it was important for him to know what was going on in my life. His faith, humor and positive attitude were unending and inspiring.Only God can heal the wound left by his passing, a wound felt so deeply by Aunt Cathy, Thomas and Mary. I know that things will never be the same without Uncle Lee here, but owing to the countless wonderful memories he has left for us he will always be in our hearts and minds. We love you, Uncle Lee. Until we see you again we’ll be sure to warm up the pool, fire up the grill and turn up the music in your honor.
I knew Lee from Compaq days. He was a wonderful, kind and cheerful man. I do not know how he died but I know he died young and that is always tragic. My prayers are with his family!
Our trips to The White House in Plano, to be in the company of Mary, Dom and the rest of our extended US family, have been so enjoyable. Lee and Cathy have been excellent hosts – welcoming, loving, caring and entertaining. For us, Lee was charming, fun to be with, a great BBQ chef (cooking us the best steaks we have ever eaten), an expert around the golf course, and great company during our extended trips away. We shall miss his warmth and good humour. We have particularly appreciated Lee’s special friendship with Dom as he was welcomed into the family.
Lee was one of the most wonderful people I ever knew. We were close friends throughout his time at A&M, and I can say that he was always kind, loving, devoted and a joy to be around. He had a great sense of humor, a bit on the dry side. He had a wonderful disposition and always saw the good in people and this world. We had many wonderful experiences together that bring tears of joy to me at this time of sorrow. My wife, Theresa, and I knew Lee while he dated and married Cathy. They were a great couple because both of them are such wonderful people. We are incredibly sad to see Lee leave this earth so early.
